20 Years Soaring High: Etihad Takes You Back in Time in its Latest Campaign

Etihad has recently launched its latest campaign, marking 20 years since its inaugural flight to Beirut.

This Arabic-first campaign spotlights Aisha AlMansoori, the first female Emirati captain, as its central figure. The campaign's hero video takes viewers on a nostalgic journey, portraying a young Aisha dreaming of flight as she watches birds and sits on her father's shoulders. It progresses to showcase her family witnessing Etihad's maiden flight, and the young Aisha's attempts at flight with makeshift wings. Transitioning to the present, Aisha is now the first female Emirati captain, having been with the airline since the outset of her career in 2007. Watch it here:

George Paige, Global Head of Brand, Creative & Social at Etihad, shared in a LinkedIn post, "Etihad's 20th Anniversary presented us with the perfect opportunity to talk to our home market at a brand level again. And there was no better story to hero than that of the inspirational Captain Aisha AlMansoori, the first female Emirati to reach captaincy." The campaign aims to reignite pride across the UAE, emphasizing Etihad's role as the national airline and building excitement for the airline's future growth and expansion. Also, to commemorate its two decades of operation, Etihad organized a spectacular light and sound show at the Burj Khalifa, showcasing the airline's history:

Special guest experiences have been curated throughout November, including an inflight culinary menu inspired by the UAE and destinations served by Etihad. Additionally, the airline will introduce a retro-inspired amenity range in First and Business class, drawing inspiration from its 2003 livery. The celebration encompasses a multi-faceted approach, combining brand storytelling, experiential events, and unique offerings to mark this significant milestone in Etihad's journey.
